Brad Russell

Brad is a Masters athlete who has a lifelong passion for fitness and sport.  After years of mountain biking, running, weightlifting, golf, and pick-up team sports, Brad was introduced to CrossFit in 2008 when on a whim he walked into CrossFit Whidbey Island to try a workout; a short 12 minutes later and after picking himself off the floor, he found himself hooked.

As a Masters athlete, Brad has a unique perspective about movement, flexibility (or lack thereof), scaling, recovery, and nutrition.  He has a desire to help people become athletes, no matter what the calendar says their age may be, and a belief that CrossFit is the secret elixir that will allow people to enjoy fitness far later in life than their predecessors.
He currently is a CrossFit Level 2 Trainer, a CrossFit Master’s Trainer, and has CrossFit Olympic Weightlifting and Mobility Certificates.
